Writing the A2 Art Personal Study: Examples, Help and Guidance.
The core of the A2 Art Personal Study is the in-depth analysis of selected artist works. Some of these artworks must be viewed in person, however it is common (and completely acceptable) for students to analyse work from a combination of primary and secondary sources.I've just finished AS Photography and had my marks sent off. My Photography teacher has already given us the plan of the work that he wants us to do for A2 so we can get a head start of either shooting or doing contextual work over the summer. Instead of having set topics like I have done this year, we have to choose what our own topic is.Hi i have finished my A2 photography essay and it it is no where near as scary as ot seems when you first start it. The easiest way to get a good grade is to include 4 photographers, one needs to be an early photographer so early 1900s late 1800s another needs to be a film photographer from the 60s or 70s and the remaining 2 can be modern artists shooting digital.Talk about the technical side.
The A2 Personal Study is worth 40% of your A2 Art course and 20% of your final A Level Art grade. It is externally assessed (i.e. marked by CIE examiners). Most countries send the Personal Study to Cambridge University to be moderated; other counties, like New Zealand, are lucky enough to have the examiners travel to them.I'm currently writing my A2 Photography Essay on Landscapes, could anyone give me a couple of tips or pointer to follow? This is my first essay I have ever properly written. Also if you know any pioneering landscape photographers of any generation could you please share them with me?
Do show your enthusiasm. The committee wants to know if you are energetic enough to take the program. Also you are a unique person and your essay tells exactly that to the admission officers. Your personal essay reflects your uniqueness and that is the reason you can leave many people with similar or even higher grades behind.
